Design & Construction
The 1.50 inch bore slip rings are designed for rotary systems that demand generous internal clearance while maintaining dependable electrical transfer. Conductive paths are formed using coin silver rings combined with silver graphite brush elements chosen for predictable contact behavior and long service life.
The brush assemblies are housed within a molded dielectric structure that supports electrical separation and mechanical stability as rotational inertia increases. A rigid aluminum rotor sleeve anchors the ring set, with the conductive components integrated directly into the assembly to support smooth rotation and uniform brush engagement across the full diameter.
Typical Applications
1.50 in Bore Slip Rings are commonly specified in larger rotary platforms where mechanical routing, airflow, or shaft diameter drive the need for expanded bore capacity, such as:
- Large-frame automation systems
- Rotary indexing tables and turntables
- Sensor towers and rotating enclosures
- Defense and aerospace mechanisms with complex internal routing
- Industrial equipment requiring high-reliability continuous rotation
