Design & Construction
The 1.00 inch bore slip rings are built around solid coin silver rings and silver graphite brushes selected for stable signal transfer and controlled electrical resistance during continuous rotation. The brush blocks are formed as a unified assembly using a rigid dielectric material, helping preserve brush geometry and insulation under higher rotational loads.
A precision-machined aluminum rotor sleeve supports the ring stack, with the conductive elements molded directly into the structure. This maintains concentricity across the larger bore size while supporting consistent electrical performance over extended duty cycles.
Typical Applications
1.00 in Bore Slip Rings are well suited for rotary systems that require additional through-bore clearance with electrical stability, including:
- Industrial automation equipment with shaft pass-through requirements
- Robotic joints and rotary actuators
- EO/IR platforms and stabilized sensor systems
- Test stands and instrumentation
- Defense and surveillance assemblies for cable routing space
